The Grill on Main Street

Stroll around quaint Old Town La Quinta and amidst the small almost movie set village, you can shop at boutique stores, enjoy great food and entertainment too. And one of the most inviting places to so is The Grill on Main Street. This neighborhood spot is the perfect place to mix and mingle with the locals, as well enjoying a part of what makes Old Town La Quinta so cozy. The relaxed, yet well appointed atmosphere at The Grill will only enhance your all around experience at this local favorite. With menu items ranging from Salads, Sandwiches and Burgers and even Hot Dogs, there is something for everyone at The Grill. One of their signature Burgers is The Smokehouse, a luscious tower of 100% Angus Beef, Applewood Smoked Bacon, Provolone Cheese, Crispy Onions and tangy BBQ Sauce. And if you're looking for Fish & Chips, The Grills are battered to order every time, with fresh Cod! The Grill also has a great daily The_Smokehouse_BurgerHappy Hour from 2pm-6pm, and music on Friday and Saturday nights from 8pm-11pm. Cactus Jacks Palm Desert

Cactus_Jacks-Asparagus_FriesCactus Jacks original location in Indio opened decades ago, then about four years back to the elation of those living in the mid-valley, they opened up a spot in Palm Desert. This joint is jumping with a strong local following at both locations, serving juicy burgers, sandwiches and are especially known for their Prime Rib, even offering it up in slider style. Cactus Jacks menu also offers salads and other items with great bar food including their awesome Asparagus Fries, the new acceptable bar green besides the old cocktail olive or diiner salad stand-by. These crispy stalks of goodness are breaded in panko breadcrumbs, then fried until ever-so-golden. The extreme heat of the oil tenderizes the stalks, but leaves enough crunch to satisfy al-dente fans. The fries are accompanied by a side of homespun ranch dressing, giving them a cool blanket of creamyness as they enter your mouth. Ah, Cactus Jacks Asparagus Fries, feel good fried food!

Tyler's Burgers Palm Springs

There’s nothing quite like biting into a hot juicy and sometimes messy Burger. It’s anAmerican Icon, along with the Baseball, Apple Pie and…well you get the picture. And if you’retalking about Burgers in the Coachella Valley, Tylers Burgers in Palm Springs will definitely bepart of the conversation.

Set in the historic La Plaza Shopping Center in downtown PalmSprings, Tylers is for many, the Burger place to be. Owner Diana Di Amico sets her standardshigh with the burger meat ground daily and only the freshest of ingredients in all of herdelectable food, from coleslaw, to potato salad, and did I mention her soups? YUM! So stop byfor a slider or two (my fave) or be bold and have a Bacon Cheeseburger with a side of hot Fries, and don’t forget a creamy cold Malt. When you do, you’ll soon see why this is a Palm SpringsLocal favorite!
