Anti-Aging with The Vein Doctor

By Denise Ortuno Neil

new_vein_doctor_logoIt was a hoppin scene on Tuesday evening, June 26th, 2012 where wine and hot H'orderves abounded. No, it wasn't Happy Hour at a local bar, but rather an Open House at The Vein Doctor in Palm Desert, where eager clients and potential clients, gathered to hear the latest treatments that famed Dr.Sanford Greenberg ( a pioneer in the treatment of painful and unsightly veins) had to offer. I sat in on Dr. Greenbergs presentation of two new popular treatments offered at The Vein Doctor, which included Pelleve and Ellumine'. As described by Dr. Greenberg, Pelleve is a radio frequency treatment, that flattens wrinkles and tightens the skin, while increasing the skins production of collagen. The treatment is a refined version of Thermage, but unlike like its distant cousin, Pelleve is said to be a "feel good" and enjoyable procedure...sign me up!! The other treatment Dr. Greenberg talked about was Ellumine', which is really designed for those with deep wrinkles, loose skin, or those who have skin discoloration which can be the result of sun damage. The evening also yielded other information and discounts on treatments such as Smart Lipo, inject-ables and even offered make-up application by Beauty By Elayna. If you're interested in attending the next Open House at The Vein Doctor, or would like to make an appointment for a private consultation, visit www.theveindoctor.com or call 760-340-2200, and start looking and  feeling your best today!

Taking a Peek at the Future Stadium Club

By Denise Ortuno Neil

lOGOSports Bar enthusiasts and desert entertainment seekers take heart, for there is a wind of change coming your way for the better...and it is The Stadium Club Sports Bistro in Rancho Mirage, scheduled to open on Labor Day weekend this Fall. This new brand of Sports Bar, will be housed in the long standing building of the former Black Angus/Stuart Anderson Steakhouse. The sprawling 10,000 square foot space will set the stage for this exciting venue. Managing partners Billy Mieldazis and John Knudsen have taking the lead on this project with over forty years of successful food and beverage experience between them . Mieldazis, known in the Coachella Valley for The Falls Prime Steakhouse and Red 74, and Knudsen with a strong track record in Las Vegas for heading up leading restaurant concepts at Caesar's Palace. With that kind of success behind them, The Stadium Club is in very capable hands. When I sat down with Knudsen to discuss the future plans for The Stadium Club, he reassured me that this would not be your everyday Sports Bar, but rather an experience in which will meld great innovative food and entertainment for everyone to enjoy (men & women), with a slight edge to it all. Most of the plans are in the development stage and on the hush level....anticipation is key. One thing is for sure, The Stadium Club will offer the valley a much needed entertainment shot in the arm, and throughout the summer months before their Grand Opening, I will be checking back with The Stadium Club to check on their progress and reporting back to you...the Sports Bar and entertainment seekers of the Coachella Valley and beyond.

Coachella Valley Womens Business Center Holds Open House

By Denise Ortuno Neil

CVWBC_Logo-Opened in 2006, the Coachella Valley Women's Business Center was started out of necessity when the Inland Empire location noticed that there were a great deal of clients driving from the Coachella Valley to San Bernardino to utilize the centers services. The CVWBC is a non-profit organization supported by the S.B.A and is grant funded. The center helps entrepreneur's reach their business goals through one on one counseling, workshops and a variety of classes ( the center offered over 150 classes last year alone). The center has recently moved and will be holding an Open House on Tuesday, April 17th from 4:30pm to 6:30pm. The Open House will serve an as introduction for present and future clients to meet the new Director Angel Cardoz as well as all of the other supportive staff at the CVWBC such as Kim Scanlan, the centers Training Coordinator. The CVWBC is a wonderful resource for women and men ( men are always welcomed) who are interested in starting their own business. I personally have been assisted by the center, and continue to turn to them for support. The center has some great classes coming up in May such as"Making it Count", which focuses on business etiquette and a workshop on how to get a loan. And for anyone interested in volunteering at the CVWBC, you're in luck, as they are always in need of business professionals who are willing to teach specialty courses such as Quick Books, Marketing, Financials and other business related topics.
